  • Mission Statement

The Police Department’s goal is to protect and maintain Los Santos' high quality of life and prevent crime. The department is responsible for enhancing overall community safety and safeguarding the rights of individuals. The Police Department is organized into specialized units and teams, staffed by both full-time, and volunteer officers to manage calls for service and facilitate problem-solving throughout the community.

    Expectations

In order to join the Department we require a certain number of traits that you possess. Below we have listed both primary and secondary skills which we would consider a mandatory requirement and a foundation for an applicant so that it can be built on during the academy. As a peace officer with the Los Santos Police Department, you are expected to demonstrate respect, sensitivity, and interpersonal skills, while making sound decisions and working well in a team. Maturity, discipline, honesty, integrity, and strong personal ethics are essential, along with the ability to set and achieve personal goals. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is also required.

    Police Department Subdivisions

The Los Santos Police Department has four subdivisions that serve as specialized enforcement divisions and allow the department to respond to any situation that may arise.
    ――――――――――――――――――――――――――

  • Traffic Enforcement Unit

The primary duty of the Traffic Enforcement Unit is to enforce traffic laws in Los Santos to reduce and help manage traffic collisions while keeping the flow of traffic as fluid as possible. T.E.U focuses on areas with high crash rates and areas of high D.U.I drivers. Speed is a key factor in T.E.U as our response times are unmatchable yet safe to the public. Our main focus is to keep the streets fluid for traffic, reduce D.U.I incidents, and respond to priority vehicle chase situations.

  • Special Intelligence Division

The goal of the Special Intelligence Division Investigators is the protection of life and property, containment of crime, preservation of the peace, and investigation of criminal activities ultimately leading to the righteous and just prosecution of offenders. SID investigators can join specialized teams with different responsibilities, such as patrolling with canine units, executing warrants, and protecting high-value targets through the Special Service Unit. They may also gather intelligence in undercover operations, apprehend auto crime suspects with the Auto Theft Unit, or tackle drug, prostitution, and gun smuggling cases in the Vice Unit. Ongoing skills development is supported through the department's Advanced Training program.

Through the use of a specialized team of the Los Santos Police Department, we protect and serve the citizens of San Andreas, whether it be by Air, Land or Sea. We provide support to the LSPD in various ways, including Vessel Pursuits, Public Transportation Security, Airport and Port Security, Search and Rescue, and Evidence Recovery.

  • Officer Mentorship Program

The Officer Mentorship Program (OMP) connects experienced officers (Corporals and above) with newer officers (Police Officer I-III, Reserves). This valuable program offers numerous benefits. Senior officers gain leadership skills and a deeper understanding of current challenges faced by junior officers. Junior officers receive valuable guidance, access to professional development opportunities through specialized training courses, and a better understanding of department policies and procedures. OMP fosters strong relationships within the department, improves communication, and enhances overall officer morale.
